Biol. & Chem. present some of the leading techniques of biology and chemistry as they apply to biomolecular structure and processes important in the life sciences.

Biol. & Chem. present some of the leading techniques of biology and chemistry as they apply to biomolecular structure and processes important in the life sciences.

Basic understanding in the chemistry and biology field is being greately advanced every year. With the rapid pace of scientific development it may not be that long before some of our intriguing and scientifically challenging dreams become reality, but it should be recognized that there are still humans behind all the technology.

On behalf of the editorial board of the Hacettepe J. Biol. & Chem., we would like to thank all the authors for agreeing to publish their invaluable work in this journal. Also, I would like to thank to my Ph.D. students, Lokman Uzun, Deniz Türkmen and Erkut Yılmaz, for their altruistic efforts to prepare the issue. I hope this volume will add another piece to the complex and exciting puzzle of science and development.
